My Blog

Skateboarding has been more than just a sport or hobby for me—it’s been a lifestyle, a mindset, and a way of connecting with the world. Growing up, I wasn’t the kind of kid who got to roam freely. My parents were strict, and I spent much of my time indoors. But then, one day, everything changed.
It all started when my younger neighbor lent me his skateboard. The moment I stepped on it, I knew I’d found something special. I saved up to get a board of my own, and before I knew it, I was bombing hills, failing (a lot), and learning tricks. The floor became my best friend—I fell more times than I could count, scraped more skin than I thought my body could handle, and even had my fair share of scorpions (if you know, you know). But every tumble was worth it.
For the first time, the street wasn’t just a street—it was my playground.Skateboarding didn’t just stay on the streets for me. It followed me into my hands through fingerboarding. My very first fingerboard wasn’t even a standalone purchase—it came from a Payless Airwalk x Tech Deck shoe collab.
I managed to score an Alien Workshop fingerboard, and from that moment on, fingerboarding became a part of my everyday life. I fingerboarded at school, at university, and even at work. It became a way to stay connected to skateboarding no matter where I was or what I was doing.
For me, skateboarding and fingerboarding have never been "just" toys or hobbies—they’re ways of thinking, expressing, and seeing the world differently. Skateboarding unites us.
We’re a tribe—a community—brought together by our shared passion for a wooden plank with wheels or a tiny board that fits in our pocket. It’s hard to explain to those who don’t get it, but for those who do, you know exactly what I mean. That’s the spirit we’re carrying forward with Zoku FB. At Zoku, we want to give back to the community that has given us so much. Fingerboarding is about fun, creativity, and expression, and we believe that even the smallest details—like tools—should reflect that.
We’re constantly working on fresh designs, and in the near future, we’re planning to launch a clothing line to further showcase this culture we all love so much.Thank you for being part of our journey. Thank you to the skateboarding and fingerboarding community for inspiring us every day. Skateboarding, in all its forms, has shaped who I am, and I’m so excited to keep giving back to this amazing community. Here’s to the love of the board—big or small. Let’s keep rolling!
